DENVER – A 70-acre development with ties to Hollywood’s entertainment industry could bring more than 4,000 jobs to Parker, according to the Denver Business Journal.

The development, officially titled the Redbarre Digital Media & Technology Campus would sit on a 1.9 million square foot space just north of E-470 west of Chambers Road.

The high-tech campus will include a combination of retail as well as office space, a boutique hotel plus a film studio backlot, a soundstage “unlike anything in North America,” recording studios and an outdoor performance area, the Denver Business Journal reports.

Redbarre is partnering with the town of Parker and Panasonic’s smart city technologies firm and hope to open the campus in 2020.

The Denver Post reports the project has not been formally submitted to Parker officials, who said they’re still waiting on the project for it to undergo municipal review.

The Denver-based production company will formally announce the project on Aug. 11 at 11:30 a.m. at the Colorado State Capitol.
