Looking to hear some good music in Colorado? Check out the artists performing this weekend

DENVER – It’s going to be nice out, so why not enjoy some of the best in music Colorado has to offer?

Here are several concerts happening along the state this weekend:

1. Telluride Jazz Festival
Telluride Town Park, 500 East Colorado Avenue

For nearly 40 years, the Telluride Jazz Festival has brought some of the biggest names in jazz to the Rocky Mountains and this year is no different. This year’s line-up includes Mavis Staples, Lee Fields & The Expressions, Fatso, Cha Wa Mardi Gras Indian Band, The Inevitables, among others.

The event, which also hosts nightly events and runs for three days (from Aug. 4 through Aug. 6) has single-day tickets still available.

2. The Reminders with Fed Rez
Levitt Pavilion Denver, 1380 West Florida Avenue – Denver

The Reminders, a husband-wife duo who blend soulful sounds with roots music and thoughtful lyrics will perform at Denver’s new music venue on Saturday. The event is free of charge.

3. Rocky Dawuni with the Bunny Gang
Levitt Pavilion Denver, 1380 West Florida Avenue – Denver

A world traveler born in Ghana, Rocky Dawuni has traveled with his West African-inspired reggae music since breaking out into the scene in 1996. He’ll be at Denver’s newest music venue on Sunday. The event is free of charge, but you can get VIP seats by RSVPing here.

Bunny Gang, a local act, will open the show.

4. Thievery Corporation at Red Rocks
18300 West Alameda Parkway - Morrison

This downtempo/electronica/hip-hop DJ collective from Washington, D.C., will be coming to Denver this weekend. The band is also involved in political causes, including their vocal support to end world hunger.

5. Ed Sheeran at the Pepsi Center
1000 Chopper Circle – Denver

Grammy Award-winning artist Ed Sheeran is coming to Denver’s Pepsi Center on Aug. 15 at 7:30 p.m.

Sheeran has won multiple accolades, most recently two Grammy Awards in 2016 for his single “Thinking Out Loud.” In May of last year, his album was named the second best-selling album worldwide in 2015.

6. Broomfield’s Summer Nigh Concert Series

The annual Summer Nights Concert Series in Broomfield is at it again with live music, dancing, drinks, food and fun at the AMC Theaters Court. There’s also a beer garden that opens at 5 p.m. every Thursday.

The concert series goes through August 10 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

7. Concert in the Park concert series in Frisco

Frisco’s Concert in the Park series kicked off last week and will run for nine Thursdays through Aug. 17 at the Frisco Historic Park.

The series will feature music from bluegrass to country to jazz to rock.

The concerts start at 5:30 p.m. each Thursday and are free to the public. Guests are invited to bring lawn chairs and well-behaved pets to join in on the best family friendly happy hour in Summit County.

8. Depeche Mode at the Pepsi Center
1000 Chopper Circle – Denver

Depeche Mode is bringing their Global Spirit Tour with special guest Warpaint. They’ll perform at the Pepsi Center on Friday, Aug. 25 at 7:30 p.m. Buy tickets here.

9. Father John Misty at Red Rocks
18300 West Alameda Parkway - Morrison

Father John Misty will be bringing special guest Jenny Lewis to Red Rocks Amphitheater on Friday, Aug. 25. Sticks are still available.

10. Denver’s Union Station Summer Concert Series

Denver’s Union Station knows how to work a crowd: The iconic landmark is hosting a summer concert series until Aug. 25, featuring local bands outside the Terminal Bar patio.

The concert series will be held on the last Friday of each month from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on an extended Terminal Bar Plaza Beer patio.

There is no cover charge, but you must be 21 to consume alcohol.

11. ‘Rock Your Summer’ at the Outlets at Castle Rock

The Outlets at Castle Rock are kicking off their annual “Rock Your Summer” concert series on Friday, June 30 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Headlining the summer concert series will be the Tunisia Band, a Denver-based group that has garnered attention for their “insanely high-energy live show.”

The Outlets at Castle Rock are located at 5050 Factor Shops Boulevard, Suite 437.

The Country Music Project will play on July 28 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and The Midnight Club will perform on August 25 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
