When it comes to having a baby, there are a lot of things to think about before women give birth.

Our partners at Saint Joseph's Hospitalsay one thing becoming more popular that a lot of patients ask about, is a birth plan.
Birth plans are made to convey what a woman, and her significant other, want during the labor and delivery experience.
It can cover anything from pain management to the music they want playing during their baby's birth.
"I see the birth plan as an opportunity for new parents to really think through what they want from their experience and to convey that to their provider," said Dr. Katie Rustici with St. Joseph's Hospital.
There are plenty of plans you can find online to help you get started.
