CU Boulder goes smoke free -- mostly

BOULDER, Colo. - The University of Colorado in Boulder is on its way to becoming a smoke free campus.

"Welcome to our smoke free campus," says a banner on the CU website. "For your health and the health of our community, thank you for not smoking on the CU-Boulder campus."

The smoking ban began Monday.

However, it's not a complete ban yet. Smoking is still allowed in designated areas until December. Then school officials will evaluate the program and determine if the designated smoking areas should be eliminated.
