GOLDEN, Colo. – Woody’s Wood Fired Pizza in Golden sells more pizza than any other individual pizza shop in the entire state of Colorado, according to the latest rankings from ‘Pizza Today’ magazine.

The magazine ranked Woody’s as the 48th overall best independent pizzeria (i.e. not a major chain like Pizza Hut) nationwide in terms of sales, with more than $4.7 million a year. That makes it the highest ranked of any single-location pizza shop in the state and the 5th best single pizza shop nationwide.

The highest overall ranking in Colorado went to Cosmo’s in Broomfield, which has four locations and more than $7.3 million in annual sales. It was ranked 24th nationwide.

Marion’s Pizza in Dayton, Ohio landed at the top of the list with nearly $21 million in annual sales. It has nine locations.

Other Colorado pizzerias that made the top 100 list included Marco’s Coal Fired Pizza in Denver (30th overall, 4 locations), Krazy Karl’s Pizza in Fort Collins (43rd overall, 2 locations), Fargo Pizza Co. in Colorado Springs (67th overall, 1 location) and Angelo’s Pizza Parlor And-a-More in Pueblo (99th overall, 1 location).
