Grits

Try this creamy dish to warm you up this winter

Grits

Ingredients:

1 cup of stone ground white grits

4 cups of water

2oz heavy cream

Salt and Pepper to taste

2oz butter

 

Procedure:

1. Boil water in stock pot and add grits. Stir every minute or two until grits begin to thicken (about 15 minutes)

2. Add cream, salt, pepper and cool for another 5 minutes

3. Stir in butter once grits are soft to taste with a little bit of texture

4. Serve or add your favorite meats, vegetables, cheese etc. Grits are very versatile
