Hike and Seek: South Platte Park
What: Encourage kids to spend more time outdoors with this nationwide event that includes fun activity stations on the trail, volunteer naturalists, crafts and a mild hike.
Where: South Platte Park and Carson Nature Center, 3000 W. Carson Dr., Littleton, Colo.
Saturday: 9 a.m.
Admission: Varies – registration required.

Wildlife Art and Wine
What: Come and see the new art exhibit and have your taste of over 160 different wines from around the world at The Wildlife Experience. Wildlife Experience in Art is a juried exhibition of over 60 pieces of art by artists from a seven-state Rocky Mountain region. All works of art will be for sale with a portion of the proceeds going to support The Wildlife Experience. Several artists on hand will be demonstrating their techniques and talking about their process. Also, you can create your own piece of art to take home.
Where: 10035 Peoria Street, Parker, Colo.
Saturday: 5 p.m.-9 p.m.
Admission: Admission is $35 for Wildlife Experience members, $40 for non-members and $25 for designated drivers and is all-inclusive.

Jared's 8th Annual Giant Pumpkin Festival and Weigh-Off
What: Jared's is hosting our 8th Annual Giant Pumpkin Festival and Weigh-Off. Come see half ton pumpkins, pumpkins dropping from a crane, giant straw maze, a galleria of ghouls and new in 2013 live music. There are balloon twisters, face painters, bouncy castle, food and beverages. Most activities are free. Face painting, food, beverages and the bouncy castle do have a cost.

Youth Exercising for Awesome Heath (Y.E.A.H.)
What: Rather than letting your kids watch the Saturday morning cartoons, have them come out to Ruby Hill Park and exercise with former Denver Broncos running back Tatum Bell. Other activities include Tug-of-War, cheerleading, hula hoops and flag football. Event is for kids ages 5-18.
Where: Ruby Hill Park, 1200 West Florida Avenue, Denver
Saturday: 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Radio Disney Block Party
What: What a better way to celebrate the end of summer than with a block party? As the neighborhood of Stapleton opens up three new streets connecting Denver to Aurora, come to the ribbon cutting ceremony where you can win prizes and enjoy family-friendly entertainment.

PacaBuddies Open House
What: Experience alpacas from 20 farms. Attend educational seminars, fiber demonstrations and see crafts, yarns and fleece.
