FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) — A new analysis by Colorado State University says the institution has closed a wage gap between male and female full professors and between white professors and associate professors in minority groups.
The Coloradoan reported Sunday that the changes come after Statistics Professor Mary Meyer found that male professors typically earned 16 percent more than their female counterparts.
In 2016, the university raised the salaries of a quarter of all female full professors.
According to the university's fiscal year 2018 salary equity study, the gap between female full professors and male full professors is no longer considered statistically significant.
