1. Denver Zoo’s ‘Boo at the Zoo’

What: The 33rd annual Boo at the Zoo offers trick-or-treat stations, creepy crawly animal demonstrations and exciting family-friendly entertainment under the canopy of the beautiful fall foliage of Denver Zoo

When: Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 21-22, and Saturday, October 28-29, 2017; from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Where: Denver Zoo 2300 Steele Street in Denver

2. Elitch Garden’s Fright Fest

What: Denver’s largest Halloween event is celebrating its 20th season of screams through Oct. 29 at Elitch Gardens. Prepare to be scared in the park’s haunted attractions Big Top Freaks, No Vacancy, Séance and TERRORtorries. Guests at the park will also find flesh hungry clowns, zombies and monsters of all kinds lurking around every corner of these multi-sensory experiences.

When: Oct 20-22, 27-29 starting at 6 p.m.

Where: Elitch Gardens, 2000 Elitch Circle in Denver

Admission: Free with park admission; some haunted attractions are an additional charge.

3. Boo at the Zoo at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

What: Cheyenne Mountain Zoo will come alive with the spirit of Halloween starting this weekend and each weekend after that until Oct. 31. Frightfully fun attractions include a Haunted Fun House, Ghoulish Graveyard and Pirate Cove.

When: Oct. 20-22, 27-29 and 31, 2017; from 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Where: Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, 4250 Cheyenne Mountain Zoo Road, Colorado Springs

Admission: Tickets range from $17.75 to $20.75

4. Breckenridge Craft Spirits Festival

What: Head to Breckenridge to sip on a variety of different spirits from small-batch, artisan distillers and more about the distilling process in Breckenridge.

When: Friday, October 20, 2017 through Sunday, October 22, 2017

Where: Town of Breckenridge

Admission: Free, but there are some ticketed events

5. World Wide Antique Show at Denver Mart

What: If you’re into antiques, then this is the show for you. Between 85 to 100 deals from around the US are expected to come to Denver to show and sell interesting and vintage items.

When: Friday, Oct. 20 and Saturday Oct. 21, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

6. Hammond Candies Factory Tour

What: Did you know that you can take a free tour of Colorado’s very own Hammond’s Candy Factory?  Tours run every half-hour Monday through Saturday.  Watch candy makers as they hand-pull and twist oversize candy canes, ribbon candy, lollipops and chocolate.  It’s educational fun for candy lovers of all ages.  And bonus, every tour guest gets a free candy sample.

7. Coors Brewery Tours

What: Coors has been making beer in Golden, Colo., since the 1870s. The brewery experience includes a 30-minute self-paced tour highlighting the malting, brewing and packaging processes.

When: Weekly on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.; Weekly on Sunday from noon – 4 p.m.
