A 21-year-old English man has fathered six children by six girlfriends and is about to father a seventh by another woman, according to British press reports.

Keith MacDonald, who lives on welfare and has not paid child support for any of the children, fathered his first child at the age of 15, The Sun and other newspapers reported over the weekend.

His case, involving seven children from seven women in seven years, has attracted international media attention.

MacDonald and the 20-year-old mother-to-be are living separately, according to reports.

MacDonald has never worked and has never married any of the mothers, the London Mirror reported on Monday.

MacDonald, who told reporters that he has slept with 39 women since he was 13, has blamed the pregnancies on failed contraceptives.

"It's not my fault I have got so many children," he told the Mirror. "I do use condoms but they never work properly, they always seem to split."

He said he has never had a problem attracting women.

"It's easy, they never seemed to say no," he was quoted as saying.
