Denver Water Looking At Easing Water Restrictions

Decison Won't Come Until Monday

UPDATED: 3:42 p.m. MDT May 28, 2003

The Denver Water Board said Wednesday that it is waiting until Monday before making any decisions on easing mandatory watering restrictions. There's also a chance the number of watering zones would be increased.

Board members also may look to allowing a waiver for people putting in new seed or sod. That would allow homeowners to water more than their alloted two days.

However, there will be no changes to the water surcharges.

The water board did give the OK to a new summer rebate program, that will reward homeowners who install specified types of conservation measures.
