SAN DIEGO - A puppy who was injured in an 80-foot fall near San Diego's Sunset Cliffs was recovering Tuesday from broken ribs and head trauma.
Veterinarians at Animal Services said the 3-month-old Chihuahua mix was doing well and they are hoping he will make a full recovery.
Lifeguards believed someone was walking with the puppy and abandoned the animal right after it fell off the cliff.
