Millions of Americans live with pain.

If you are one of those people, there is a treatment that is starting to show some amazing pain relief results.

Lisa Carpenter loves being active. Any chance she gets, she plays with her dogs. But it hasn't always been this way.

"All of a sudden I started aching, a little more than a flu ache. It just hurt all over," said Carpenter

Lisa's active life came to a standstill 11 years ago, when she was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, a musculoskeletal disorder that causes pain and fatigue in muscles, ligaments and tendons.

"Over the years you take a lot of pain med. You do everything. You do massage. You do acupuncture. I did everything I thought possible," she said.

No matter what Carpenter tried, the pain never really went away, but five months ago, she found relief.

She was introduced to Dr. Charles Kimmel and cold laser therapy.

"Cold laser therapy or low-level light therapy is a directed light beam that goes through the tissues," said Dr. Kimmel. "The light beam going through the tissues caused decreased nerve excitability, therefore, muscle relaxation and pain relief."

Cold laser therapy is FDA approved for carpal tunnel syndrome. However chiropractors like Dr. Kimmel can also use it to help a variety of things like arthritis, tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, low back pain, knee pain, neck pain and even jaw pain.

"You're not using drugs or you're not using anything artificial to get the body to help itself," he said.

"At first I was totally skeptical," said Carpenter. "I didn't believe that this little unit with two little wands that he was going to over a little area was going to make my pain go away just like that."

That skepticism was quickly wiped away.

"On a scale of one to 10 that day it was like a 15 and then 25 minutes later I was like a one," she said.

Dr. Kimmel has many stories like Carpenter's -- patients whose was pain relieved with just one treatment.

"I've never seen results like this after 25 years in practice," he said.

Carpenter chooses to get cold laser therapy once a week. She says the flexibility she gets to play with her dogs or go bowling or play softball is well worth the money.

"I got my life back and it's all thanks to cold laser," she said.

Dr. Kimmel charges $35 per treatment and has package deals available.

If you would like to learn more about cold laser therapy or would like to contact Dr. Kimmel, call Back To Health Chiropractic at (303) 369-6555, or visit www.denvercoldlaser.com.

Be aware. Cold laser therapy is reported to be completely safe, however, there have not been many studies done to track possible problems or side effects.
