Three teens were arrested Thursday as police continued a monthlong investigation that targeted several Broomfield High School students who were selling cocaine, marijuana and psychedelic mushrooms to their peers on- and off-campus.

Two 18-year-olds at Broomfield High School were arrested Thursday afternoon at the King Soopers grocery store near the school. Justin Mourray (pictured, left) and Kyle Yaden face a charge of distributing drugs after they allegedly sold drugs to undercover detectives.

Another teen was arrested in Westminster after police searched his house as part of the investigation and found Schedule 1 controlled substances.

Police said that the amount of drugs that were allegedly found with the teens are not cheap.

"One ounce of psilocybin mushrooms is between $200 and $250. An ounce of marijuana is between $80 and $100, and four grams of cocaine goes between $150 and $180," said Broomfield police Sgt. Colleen O'Connell.

"These arrests are a reminder that as a community we need to continue in our efforts to keep drugs out of our city's high schools and away from our young people. The investigation will continue, and more arrests are expected," said Broomfield Police Chief Tom Deland.

"The sale of drugs in area schools is the No. 1 priority of the task force, and detectives have been working with school administrators and school resource officers to address this problem," said Cmdr. Lori Moriarty, with the North Metro Task Force.

Moriarty stated that the task force has been focusing on drugs in schools for the past several months.
