COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- El Paso County health officials said the swine flu vaccine is now available and thousands are expected to get immunized next week. The El Paso County Department of Public Health and Environment said it plans to vaccinate more than 2,000 at a clinic Wednesday. Three other clinics are scheduled through Nov. 19. The department also said the vaccine will be available at about four dozen pharmacies, including ones at Walgreens, Safeway and King Soopers.
The vaccine is available to high-risk groups, including pregnant woman, children and health care workers. The county health department had previously canceled swine flu clinics because they had not gotten the vaccine.
