DENVER -- H1N1 vaccination clinics slated for the first of November will likely be put on hold.Health departments and providers said they were experiencing delays getting the vaccines and have not been told when they will actually receive them."We're evaluating this on a day to day basis to determine when we can actually plan our clinics," said Dr. Richard Vogt, with Tri-County Health.
Vogt said Tri-County Health was supposed to receive 80,000 vaccines but said they have received less than half that. Some people are concerned the vaccine will arrive too late since the majority of the flu cases floating around are H1N1. Vogt said people should go ahead and get the vaccines anyway when they arrive."We saw cases in April and in May. It's persistent. It can still continue for many months and there is a risk it may reappear after it tapers off," said Vogt.
