New Prostate Cancer Treatment Kills With Heat

University of Colorado Hospital Is Conducting Clinical Trials

There are now a number of treatments for prostate cancer. They include robotic surgery and a long lists of radiation therapies.

One of those therapies is HIFU which stands for high-intensity focused ultrasound. It kills cancer cells with heat.

HIFU is approved in Europe and Canada but not in the U.S.

The University of Colorado Hospital is conducting clinical trials using HIFU.
