King Soopers/City Market Pharmacies Offer $4 Generics

Company Wants To Offer One-Stop Shopping

King Soopers and City Market pharmacies in Colorado are now selling certain generic prescription drugs for $4 for a 30-day supply.

Several other retailers including Target, Kmart and Wal-mart offer similar deals.

The King Soopers/City Market program includes generic alternatives for hundreds of commonly prescribed drugs used to treat conditions such as diabetes, asthma, depression, heart disease, thyroid and other health problems.

Officials told 7NEWS, The $4 prescriptions are available in King Soopers pharmacies and for online and telephone orders for customers to pick up in a store

There are 104 King Soopers pharmacies and 36 City Market pharmacies. City Market does not have pharmacies at their Colorado stores in Aspen, Glenwood Springs or Shiprock, NM.

Russ Dispense, the president of King Soopers said in a news release, “We’re pleased to offer our valued King Soopers customers an affordable alternative to meet their health and medication needs."
