Yellow Cab Offers Free Ride In Hybrids On Earth Day

DENVER -- If you need a taxi ride on Earth Day you might be in luck to get a free one.Denver Yellow Cab said it will offer free taxi rides in any of their new Toyota Prius Hybrids. The rides must be within the city limits and must take place between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m."There is some luck-of-the-draw involved in getting one of these free cab rides," said Randy Jensen, general manager for Yellow Cab. "We are providing the free rides to anyone who calls 303-777-7777 for a cab and if one of the Prius Hybrids in the fleet is the one that provides the ride, it's free. But, if a caller is transported in one of our standard gas-powered taxis, standard meter fares would apply."
