Join Denver's 7 At The 24th Annual AIDS Walk Colorado

What: AIDS Walk Colorado is the Rocky Mountain Region’s largest and most successful HIV and AIDS fundraiser. More than 8,000 people from throughout the state come together as a community, fueled by donations from more than 13,000 individuals, to raise money for vital services for HIV/AIDS clients of Colorado AIDS Project and more than 20 other outstanding AIDS service organizations through a 5K Walk and Run.

The event serves as a day to remember those we have lost to the disease with prominent speakers and panels of the AIDS Memorial Quilt. The Celebration of Life Festival includes live music, sporting tournaments, Diva Dash fun run, food, beverages and more!

When: Saturday, August 13, 2011

Where: North End of Denver’s Cheesman Park – 12th St. & Humboldt St.

Fee: There is no registration fee for AIDS Walk Colorado, however we rely on money raised through participants of AIDS Walk Colorado to continue providing services to those living with HIV and AIDS.

Schedule of Events: 7:30 a.m. Registration Begins

7:30 a.m. Vendors Open

8:30 a.m. Warm Up

9:00 a.m. Opening Ceremony

9:30 a.m. Run Kickoff

9:35 a.m. Walk step off following last runner

9:45 a.m. Beer Garden Opens

9:45 a.m. Food Vendors Open

9:45 a.m. Entertainment Begins

10:00 a.m. Volleyball Tournament Begins

10:25 a.m. Runner Awards Ceremony

11:30 a.m. Diva Dash Stiletto Fun Run Kicks Off

2:00 p.m. Event Ends

Incentives: Various fundraising prizes will be awarded to individuals who reach these fundraising earmarks:

Raise $52.80 = AIDS Walk Colorado Car Magnet

Raise $100 or more = Official AIDS Walk Colorado T-Shirt

All participants are encouraged to register at www.AIDSwalkcolorado.org and begin fundraising today! Participants may set up a personal fundraising page to collect on-line donations and may download a pledge form to collect off line pledges.
