Denver's St. Patrick's Day Events

Estimated 225,000-250,000 People To Attend LoDo Parade

"Irish With Altitude" is the theme of the 47th annual Denver St. Patrick's Day Parade Saturday.

Denver City Auditor Dennis Gallagher will serve as the grand marshal, leading more than 200 floats, pipe bands and step dancers through the streets of LoDo.

The parade starts at 10 a.m. at Blake and 27th streets, continues down Blake to 17th Street, then heads to Coors Field via Wynkoop Street.

Another St. Patrick's tradition steps off from McCormicks Fish House & Bar on Sunday, March 15 at 10:15 a.m. The 21st Annual Runnin' of the Green benefits the Volunteers of America's Meals on Wheels program. Today there are more than 300 seniors on the waiting list to be accepted into the program due to financial constraints.

The Lucky 7K run/walk and the Irish Punt (two-mile walk) winds through Lodo, starting and ending at McCormicks Fish House & Bar on 17th and Wazee.

More than 4,000 runners have already pre-registered.
