If one of your new year's resolutions is to get organized, you may want to start small and start thinking in baby steps.

checklist to do list

That's because being organized is such a daunting task that it's difficult to know where to start, experts say.

Well, one professional organizer said that the key is to create and complete lists -- tons and tons of lists. And what she's done on her site, ListOrganizer.com is offer those lists for free.

Her simple system of staying organized is to break down those huge tasks into little steps, and put them all on a list.

If you want to organize all the paperwork you have at home, she gives you step-by-step instructions on how to do that and all you have to do is just check off the list as you go along. If you want to organize your finances, there's a budget and expense list.

There's also a list to help you grocery shop more efficiently and a list to clean your home more effectively with steps you may have never thought of like dusting the top of your refrigerator.

The site also has easy templates for all sorts of checklists -- everything from keeping your new year's resolutions to attaining lifelong goals.

If you're a fan of lists, you'll really enjoy the site but the true key will be to actually complete your list. The site gives you the tools, but you'll have to provide the motivation.
