DENVER -- So often people have a product or service idea they think will sell, but never act on it.  Then, years later, they see the same product or service out on the market.  A mom inventor came up with a book called "Secrets of Millionaire Moms" to help inspire people with ideas and turn them into reality.

"They truly believed in what they were doing, even if they were afraid," said author Tamara Monosoff.

Monosoff interviewed 17 successful women, including the founder of the Baby Einstein DVD series, to better understand how these women turned their idea into multi-million dollar businesses, and ultimately, leading them to financial freedom.

"They were able to see problems as opportunities," said Monosoff.

She also adds each of the women had core principles and believed in their products.

"We've taken out loans, business line, and home equity help," said Elizabeth Sopher, who invented Quick Zip Crib Sheet.

Sopher said she and her partner, Joan Henehan, came up with a quick and easy way to zip up crib sheets, without having to take apart the entire crib.  They came up with the idea after they got tired of changing baby sheets every other day. 

Sopher and Henehan said they're excited that other women inventors are sharing their secrets.  They hope they too can turn their idea into a multi-million dollar business one day.

Monosoff said the first step to turning your idea into reality is to verbalize your dream.  Talk about it.  Then invest in yourself and believe in what you're trying to sell.  Third, create a support network to help you when you run into challenges.
