DENVER, Co. -- More and more Denver businesses are starting to allow pets on the premises.

Pet owners now have many more options if they want to take their pets on vacation or just a night on the town.

Some companies are even taking extra steps to welcome and pamper your pet. The Hotel Monaco in downtown Denver takes pride in its pet policy.

"Our founder Bill Kimpton believed in bringing your dog with you when you travel. He felt that pets are a part of the family and, therefore, family should be able to come with you wherever you travel," said the Hotel Monaco's Beth Johnston.

The Hotel Monaco greets the four-legged friends right when they walk in the door with a bone and a dog walking map of the city.

Your room also comes stocked with a doggy pet, food and water bowls.

"We also do pet sitting services and pet walking services if you're going to be out a little longer than you expected," said Johnston.

The Hotel Monaco was recently featured in a brand new magazine called The Colorado Dog.

"I started doing research about two years ago and I just came out with the first issue in March," said creator Jaime Downey.

Next month's magazine will feature all sorts of outdoor activities and places to take your dog hiking, canoeing, swimming and boating.

Downey said the magazine is a great resource for dog lovers.

"If you love dogs, you're going to love the magazine. It's all about dogs," said Downey.
