Chapter 1 -- Meet Hudson
March 2, 2007Hi! My name is Hudson and I am a 16-month-old Labrador/Golden Retriever mix. I am in training with Canine Companions for Independence, (cci.org). Someday, if I pass all the tests and make it through the advanced training I may help someone with a disability other than blindness. My puppy raiser is the producer for Call 7 for Help, so I come to work with her most days. I LOVE hanging out in the news room and getting lots of attention. Everyone tells me I'm "gorgeous" which is true, don't you think? It takes a village to raise a puppy, and my "village" here at Channel 7 knows my commands and all the rules, such as I have to sit before they will pet me, and no people-food treats (drat!)
