Zoo Lights bringing holiday cheer to Colorado

DENVER - Coloradans can brighten their holiday spirit at the Denver Zoo’s “Zoo Lights” opening December 6 and continuing through January 5. Zoo Lights offers 38 acres of radiant illuminations and more than 150 animated animal sculptures. Other events at Zoo Lights include a Winter Wonderland, Santa’s Village, a month long Festival of Lanterns, and more.

Now through opening weekend at Zoo Lights, visitors receive half price off admission with a new, unwrapped toy.  All toys will benefit Broncos player Wesley Woodyard's annual toy drive held on December 9 at the Downtown Aquarium.  Open to the public, the event will benefit the Tennyson Center for Children and GIVE Denver's Adopt-a-family program.  Learn more at TheDenverChannel.com.

Join 7NEWS at the Zoo or tune in at 5pm on December 6 to see 7NEWS Meteorologist, Mike Nelson from the 24/7 Weather team help light the lights on opening night. After opening weekend, visitors can still donate a toy to 16Ways Foundation and receive $2 off admission to Zoo Lights. To learn more visit http://denverzoo.org/zoolights/.
