The Golden Games

What: Created to highlight the outdoor recreation and lifestyle Coloradans cherish, this three-day event plays host to a variety of sporting events, live music, demos, gear swaps and more.  This is your chance to try outdoor activities like kayaking, river surfing, stand up paddle, slack lining and more.  The Games are designed to be enjoyed by families, athletes and spectators. 

Where: Soda Lake, near Morrison Road and C-470, Lakewood, Colo.; and Clear Creek White Water Park, 1201 10th Street, Golden, Colo.

Strawberry Fest Antique Show

What:  It’s the 46th Annual Antique and Collectibles Show featuring over 80 local and national dealers of high-end antiques and collectibles.  Attendees will also enjoy an art show, glass grinder and café with food and drinks available for purchase.

Where: Boulder County Fairgrounds, Exhibit Building, 9595 Nelson Road, Longmont, Colo.

When: Saturday: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; and Sunday: 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

Cherry Creek Fresh Market

Rocky Mountain Pet Expo

Kids to Parks Day

What: This nationwide initiative organized by the National Park Trust encourages families to get outdoors and visit America’s parks, from the local greenspaces to the National Parks.  And no community will celebrate this day with more enthusiasm than Boulder.  Enjoy family fun activities provided by Children’s Museum of Denver, Play-Well TEKnologies, The Wild Animal Sanctuary and more. Discover the science, history, nature and adventure waiting for you in the park.

Erie Balloon Festival and Town Fair

What: Balloons will take flight in the skies over Erie this weekend, as part of the annual Balloon Festival and Town Fair.  Watch the colorful display of hot air balloons as they launch at 6:15am, Friday, Saturday and Sunday (weather permitting.)  On Saturday, Historic Downtown Erie will host over 200 craft and food vendors, as well as the Garage Rats Car Show during the day.  Music performances take over the stage at Coal Creek ballpark Saturday evening, plus carnival games, activities for the kids, and more.  Fireworks cap off the day at 9:15pm.

Five Points Jazz Festival

What: Celebrate the rich history of Denver’s Five Points Neighborhood, which was once home to jazz clubs that hosted music legends including Miles Davies and Thelonious Monk.  More than 30 bands will span nine stages throughout the day featuring a culturally diverse line up of Latin, blues, funk, trios, and more.
