Friday - Sunday

Southwest Rink at Skyline Park

What: Grab your family and friends and head Downtown for some ice skating in Skyline Park.  Skate rental is $2, or bring your own pair and skate for free.

Where: Skyline Park at 16th Street and Arapahoe, Downtown Denver, Colo.

When: Daily, various times daily through Feb. 14th (Check website for details)

Admission: Free ($2 skate rental or bring your own.)

Colorado Garden & Home Show

What:  Planning to remodel, update or simply need help finishing your honey-do list?  This is your one-stop-shop, your chance to visit with over 650 companies ready to introduce new technologies and trends in home improvements and landscaping.  Get lost in one of the inspiring garden oasis, full of rich color and fragrance.  Check out the Hot Products Zone displaying all the must-have gadgets for your home and lawn.  Attend one of the free seminars and how-do demonstrations.  There will be no excuses after attending this show.  

Where: Colorado Convention Center, 700 14th Street, Denver, Colo.

When: Saturday: 10 a.m.-8 p.m.; Sunday: 10 a.m.-6 p.m. (Runs daily through Feb. 12th.  Check website for weekday times.)

Admission:  $12 – Adults; $10 – Seniors; Kids 12 years and under are free. (Attend on a weekday, get 2 for 1 admission.)

Free Day at Denver Art Museum

What:  Enjoy free admission to the Denver Art Museum with full access to the art collections and non-ticketed exhibitions.  Plus, family friendly activities including live artists painting and special giveaways.

AAA 2017 Vacations Showcase

Bald Eagle Festival

What:  The 5th annual event celebrating this majestic bird of prey will educate guests of all ages.  Enjoy live raptor presentations and talk with experts from the Bird Conservancy of the Rockies.  Take a 3-mile guided hike or a ride on the Eagle Express for an up close wildlife watching experience. (Note that reservations are required for the guided hike and Eagle Express.)   Plus, there will be crafts for the kids, and they can even help a Naturalist construct a life-sized replica of a bald eagle’s nest. 

Where: Barr Lake Nature Center, Barr Lake State Park, 13401 Picadilly Road, Brighton, Colo.

Arvada’s Chocolate Affair

What: It’s a chocolate-lover’s paradise!  Sinful, tasty delights will be available to sample at various locations in Olde Town.  You can also embark on a chocolate treasure hunt.  It’s all things chocolate this Saturday.
