The Colorado Environmental Film Festival

What: In the true spirit of Colorado, this film festival will inspire, surprise, motivate, entertain, and transform attendees.  Screenings of local and national feature length and short films will explore interconnected ecological, social and economic themes.  Catch a film or two, engage in thought-provoking discussions, listen in on a filmmaker’s forum, or visit with a variety of environmental groups.

Denver Restaurant Week

What: Restaurant Week kicks off this Friday with 10-days of special menus offered at your favorite Denver hot spots.  This annual celebration is popular, so make your reservations now!   

Where: Participating restaurants throughout Metro Denver. (Visit website for complete list.)

When: Special Menus available through Sunday, March 5th

Admission: Multi-course dinners at tasty prices; varies by restaurant.

Celestial Seasonings Factory Tour

What: Did you know you can tour Colorado’s very own Celestial Seasonings Factory for free?  Factory tours run every hour Monday through Sunday.  And every tour includes a whiff of the Mint Room, guaranteed to clear any stuffy nose.  Afterwards, be sure to visit the sampling bar with over 100 kinds of tea to taste.  Note that kids must be at least 5 years old to tour the factory floor.

Where: Celestial Seasonings, 4600 Sleepytime Drive, Boulder, Colo.

When:  Mondays Saturdays: 10 a.m.-4 p.m.; and Sundays: 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

What:  Fresh off the all-star break, the Nuggets are back in action to face the Brooklyn Nets in front of a hometown crowd.

Family Engineering Day

What: Join CU Professors and staff for this fourth annual event celebrating National Engineering Week.  The open-house environment will feature engaging engineering stations including a Star Wars green screen experience complete with a BB-8 robot obstacle course, sail cars, Keva Plank station, Maker Space demonstrations, 3D Printing, and much more.  All ages are welcome. Food will be available for purchase. 

Where: University of Colorado at Boulder, JSC Biotechnology Building, 3415 Colorado Ave., Boulder, Colo.

When: Saturday: 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Admission: Free ($10 per family donation encouraged to support summer camp scholarship program. Visit website to RSVP to help staff ensure adequate event space and personnel.)

Buffalo Bill Birthday Celebration

What:  Happy Birthday to one of America’s greatest legends, William ‘Buffalo Bill’ Cody.  Visit the Buffalo Bill Museum and Grave for this annual birthday celebration.  Sing Happy Birthday, eat cake, play games and maybe even learn a thing or two about this legend from the Wild West.

Awards Show Watch Party

What: Join Denver7 at the Alamo Drafthouse for Hollywood’s biggest night.  Dress in your Hollywood best formal attire to experience your own red carpet treatment, complete with paparazzi and live music.  Once inside, spend the evening mingling with the Denver7 Anchors, enjoy a food and drink menu inspired by this year’s nominees, and watch as Hollywood’s biggest stars take home top honors.   

Where: Alamo Drafthouse, Aspen Grove, 7301 S. Santa Fe Drive, Littleton, Colo.
