Boulder Arts Week

What: Did you know that Boulder has the eighth largest concentration of artists in the US?  Come celebrate the city’s vibrant arts and cultural scene as this week-long event wraps up this weekend. Programming highlights include art walks, First Friday, exhibitions, performances, dance, music, theatre, artist demonstrations, lectures, readings, workshops and symposia.

Where: Various locations, Boulder, Colo.

When: Thursday – Saturday; various times/events through April 2nd (Check website for details)

Disney on Ice “Treasure Trove”

What:  The gang is sticking around for one more weekend. Don’t miss this colossal party on ice with all your favorite Disney friends, including Mickey and Minnie, the Disney Princesses, Tinker Bell and Captain Hook, Woody and Buzz, and many more.  There are several performance times throughout the weekend to entertain kids of all ages.

UMX (Ultimate Music Xperience)

What: It’s the ultimate, local battle of the bands.  This free event will showcase some of Denver’s best undiscovered and emerging musical talent.   Cheer on more than 50 local solo artists and groups as they compete for a chance to play at this year’s CHUN Capitol Hill People’s Fair.  This is your chance to feel a part of the local music scene.

Arvada Kite Festival

What: It’s high flying fun.   Learn the artistry of kite flying and enjoy some friendly competition, or simply spread a blanket to lay and watch the colors dive, dip and zip through the air.  This family-friendly event will also feature music, food and other fun activities.  Whether you come to fly a kite or just want to marvel at the colorful display, your family will enjoy this annual outdoor event.

Tulip Fairy & Elf Festival

What: Calling all pint-sized fairies and elves.  Join the Tulip Fairy as she celebrates springtime in Boulder.  This family-friendly event includes live stage performances, face painting, cookie decorating, and other activities kids will love.  All fairies and elves will be invited to join the Tulip Fairy and members of the Boulder Ballet in the parade around the mall which will leave the performance stage at 3:30pm.
