DENVER -- One of the hottest art exhibits in Denver is really more of a performance.

It’s called Art Boogie, and it is part of a growing underground art scene in the Mile High City.

“People in Colorado are looking for underground inspired events that are not targeted to a mainstream society,” one artist recently told Denver7 photojournalist Jacob Curtis.

“I feel like there is a nice creative flow here with all the vendors showing jewelry, showing their elixirs. All the way to people crafting their music.”

It’s a movement attracting artists from beyond the borders of Colorado to Denver’s Santa Fe Arts District.

“I've made so many great new connections,” an artist told Denver7. “I'm inspired by them. They make me want to be better at this just by coming out, being surrounded by people doing great things.”

You can track Art Boogie’s upcoming events by following the Art Boogie Facebook page.
