Cleo Parker Robinson Dance presents 4th annual Dance Africa Denver

May 2-4 at Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Theatre

Spiritual Awakening is the theme of this year's Dance Africa Denver event which celebrates African culture.

The event returns for a 37th year to the Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Theatre.

Afro Cuban Experimental Dance Ensemble Oyu Oro and "The Fela Queens" from the Broadway hit "Fela the Musical" will perform.

There will also be a performance of  "Madiba's River," a work created by Cleo Parker Robinson to honor of the late Nelson Mandela.

Audiences will also have opportunities to enjoy African dance and music workshops and an African market of crafts and foods.  

Where: Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Theatre at 119 Park Avenue West, Denver, Colorado 80205 on the corner of 20th, Park Ave. West and Washington Streets

When:            Friday, May 2 at 7 p.m.
                        Saturday, May 3 at 1:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.
                        Sunday, May 4 at 1:30 p.m.

                        $38.00 for adults
                        $35.00 for seniors (62 and over)
                        $30.00 for children under 12, and students
