Ladies and gentlemen… Decatur

The Denver-based alternative rock band is taking the local (and national) music scene for a ride. With the release of their first EP in June, they’ve landed a coveted spot on 303 Magazine’s Best of Denver Music Spotify playlist, performed at Denver’s Underground Music Showcase, scored radio play on Colorado Public Radio and been featured on 93.3’s Locals Only. Needless to say, it’s been a wild end of the year for the guys.

Their latest single “Shake,” released last Friday, was celebrated with a free show on Sunday for fans at the Top Plaza of Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Abraham Willock did a phenomenal job organizing the gig and proceeds from alcohol sales benefited the non-profit Friends of Red Rocks. Other performances included music from Cyanidols, Blanket Empire, U.S. Tygers, Josh Leather, Alexander and the Big Sleep, The Symbols and Hot Apostles.

Decatur band members include Quinn Cox (lead studio engineer, backing vocals, guitar, keys), Sean DeCrescenzo (front man, guitar), Tay Hamilton (lead guitar, backing vocals), Chris Howard (drums, backing vocals) and Chris Rybitski (bass player).

Keep your ears out for Decatur on Colorado Public Radio’s Open Air, national music blog Alternative Addiction and perhaps one of your favorite upcoming TV shows. Whether it’s live shows, Spotify playlists or licensing, the sky is the limit with these guys, and you’ll certainly be hearing more from them in 2018!

Stream “Shake” on Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud and anywhere else you (legally) listen to your music.
