What: Run the 'Rocks is a walk/run challenge matched with electrifying musical reverberations at the world-famous amphitheater crafted by Mother Nature herself. Whether you want to run like mad, or slowly take in the fabulous panorama, you don't want to miss this unique Red Rocks event!

Annual Harvest Festival and Open House

What: This festival has become a neighborhood tradition bringing together the school and the community to celebrate autumn. Attendees can expect a fun-filled day of activities for the entire family. The festivities will include pony rides, jumping castle, face painting, arts and crafts, a sidewalk mural, music, a pumpkin patch, games and more.

Halloween Tales & Trails Festival

What: Join Lookout Mountain Nature Center’s annual family-friendly, non scary Halloween festival. Enjoy a guided hike through the forest, make a craft, listen to storytellers, visit nature center exhibits and more.

Where: Lookout Mountain Nature Center, Golden

When: Daytime Events: noon–1:30 p.m. Evening Events: 5–6:30 p.m.

Budweiser Clydesdale’s Camera Day

What: The West Coast Hitch of the world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales are spending the week at their new home in the stables adjacent to the Anheuser-Busch Fort Collins brewery tour center. To celebrate this occasion, a special Clydesdale Camera Day will be held. All tour center guests can bring their camera and get up close for a photo.

When: 1 p.m.–3 p.m. for camera shoot with Clydesdales Tours open daily from 10 a.m.–5 p.m.

Colorado Springs Cool Science Festival

What: The 2nd annual Colorado Springs Cool Science Festival celebrates the rich scientific, technological and engineering fabric of our region. It’s also a collaboration of organizations, businesses and resources from across the Pikes Peak area coming together to present an eight-day lineup of science-related events and activities. Visitors will be able to engage throughout the week in a wide array of informal science activities, events, seminars, tours and general fun.

Legend Marching Festival

What: Watch more than 900 students from 16 high school marching bands compete for top honors in their division. Marching bands performing are: Bayfield HS, Berthoud HS, DEvelyn Jr/Sr HS, Englewood HS, Estes Park HS, Fort Lupton HS, Centaurus HS, Elizabeth HS, Evergreen HS, Harrison HS, Mead HS, Rock Canyon HS, Silver Creek HS, Windsor HS, Woodland Park HS and Littleton HS.

Where: Sports Authority Stadium, 11901 Newlin Gulch Blvd., Parker (Not Sports Authority Field At Mile High)

When: Noon -- Preliminary round, 6 p.m. -- Final Competition

Admission: Ticket prices are $15 ($10 students) for the preliminary competition, $15 ($10 students) for the final competition, or $20 for both rounds.

Denver Public Art Tour - Civic Center Park

What: The Denver Civic Center tour, led by docent Leon Krier, will focus on the more than 100-year history of Denver's public art and architecture. From Alexander Proctor's bronze Bronco Buster to Beverly Pepper's Denver Monoliths, and the Neoclassical Capitol to the Beaux-Arts Civic Center Park and Postmodern Denver Public Library, this tour is sure to inspire. The meeting place will be at Sea Lions Fountain on the north end of Civic Center Park.
