Listen up!Class is in session. This week, it's time to answer a few letters that wrestling students from around the globe have sent to your good professor. We start with Kathleen, who didn't like the fact that I called Kane and Big Show "goofs" in a recent column. Her e-mail subject line was "Get A Life."
I really would like for you to call them big goofs in person! You are the biggest goof of all! You really need to find another job where you can be paid for acting that stupid, maybe a traffic cop. You are so stupid! Do you ever read what you write? I think since you think you know everything, why don't you wrestle? Your comments are really a joke. Kane and Show are a big part of the fans, and are true wrestlers.
KathleenFor the record, Kathleen is not Mrs. Professor, who sometimes wants to shove me in the middle of traffic. Anyway, my pithy response?Show and Kane are probably really nice guys in real life, but in the ring they do nothing for me. That's the way it goes. If you don't like it, get your own column.
P.W.So she shot back:Why would I want a column? You would only makes us all look like the big loser you are.
KathleenWhat? Kathleen, that sentence made no sense, you big goof! On second thought, DON'T get your own column. Sheesh. Here's more hate mail:Don't you do any original writing or do you just do those moronic pay-per-view preview/review things?
KevinUh, Earth to Kevin. If you look at the list of my columns below from THE PAST YEAR, you'll notice I try to mix in a bit of everything, including interviews with the performers. Try to pay attention, kid, or I'll be fitting you and Kathleen with dunce caps. Now, a bit of sanity. You claim that A.J. Styles is the greatest wrestler on the planet. I think that argument could be made for Shelton Benjamin also. While Shelton may not have the presence on the mic as most, his in ring skills can NOT be denied. Based on pure talent in the ring, how would you analyze these two wrestlers in a match against each other?
BrianI think it would be great if Benjamin jumped to TNA, because he's certainly not getting much respect in WWE. If he locked up with Styles there, the matches would certainly be among the year's best - perhaps the best of the decade. Right now, that's probably at the top of my list for dream matches. Is TNA a flash in the pan or here to stay?
JoeJoe, TNA has a lot going for it, and I would love it if they blossomed into an equal competitor to WWE. For that to happen, they'll have to post some solid rating numbers on Spike TV with their Saturday "Impact!" show, and then get a weekly prime-time show. TNA should also focus on storyline and character development among their X-Division wrestlers. That is a tremendous stable of performers, but I really don't know what makes these guys tick.Do you think the Ultimate Warrior will ever come back to the WWE?
VicThe Warrior DVD Vince McMahon produced a few months ago basically trashed the guy, Vic. So I'd say probably not. But then again, Bret Hart was supposedly Vince's worst enemy once upon a time, and they've made up in order for Bret to hawk his WWE DVD.Is it just me, or does anyone else find the Boogie Man annoying? C'mon, I've dated scarier guys than this. The drooling, the smashing of the clock, the drooling, the greasy make-up, the drooling, that insipid, "I'M THE BOOGIE MAN, AND I'M COMING TO GET YOU!" And did I mention that disgusting drooling? If you want to scare me, tell me the Boogie Man is the love child of Kamala and the Fabulous Moolah. That'll keep you up at night.
RomeniaYeah, I hated TBM at first, but over the past few weeks I've learned to like him a bit. I think it's a case of "this is so bad, it's actually good." Plus, he helped the great Teddy Long beat Eric Bischoff at "Survivor Series." He can't be all bad!Too many letters, too little time. Sorry if I didn't get to yours, but I'll give it another shot in a month or so. Before I sign off, another huge thanks to those who sent their condolences to the family of Eddie Guerrero. I'm hoping they find some sort of peace in the days ahead. That's it!Until next week, class dismissed!(Professor Wrestling is a masked employee of Internet Broadcasting.
