The New Video Spot
Up first, the plug for our video player. Tonight's highlight: the Arizona traffic bust that turned into an alligator round-up! I kid you not. That and much more is right here.

Pope Benedict XVI The New Pope
There's nothing more thrilling than to watch history unfold (and get paid for it). Today was one of those days, as Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger greeted the throngs at St. Peter's Square as Pope Benedict XVI. I'm sure you've seen the story, but we have a lot of extras for you, too (slideshows, raw video, etc). Make sure to click through them all. The story is right here. And with no disrespect, "You go, Joe!"

Paul McCartneyThe McCartney Tour
Speaking of religious experiences ... when I saw Paul McCartney in concert in 2002, I came to two conclusions. One, that it was the best show I'd ever seen. Two, that it would be a while before he toured again, if ever. Well, I'm glad to say McCartney is going back on the road! If you like the Beatles, Wings or his solo stuff, don't miss it. You'll be sorry. The story, with the 2005 tour dates, is right here.

Howard Cosell The End Of An Era
No, I won't get sentimental about 'Monday Night Football' heading to ESPN, but I sure miss the days of Howard Cosell, Dandy Don Meredith and Frank Gifford. Especially Howard. He had this aura about him, where a young kid (me, at the time) thought he just might be the smartest man in the world. And if he said something nice about my team, what a bonus! Well, those days are gone, and I'm a little sad. But not sentimental. Nope. Can't get sappy over football. Won't do it. Just read the story already, will ya? It's right here. (Sniff.)

That's it, the show's over. Hope you had a brief break from the mundane. To quote the great Jack Buck: We'll see ya … tomorrow night!
