DENVER -- Nearly every woman has a hair horror story. But a new treatment available in Denver may end all that.
It's called thermal reconditioning, a Japanese technique that is uses heat to straighten curly or frizzy hair. Stylists say that it also improves the look of your hair, making it silky, soft and shiny and with no frizz, curls, waves, breakage or split ends.
Even though it can be expensive, between $200 and $500, the straightening can lasts up to six months.
The procedure is also known as Magic Straight, Ionic Perm, Bioionic Straightening, Yuko System, Liscio, and Rebondin.
Just as with hair coloring, perming and standard relaxers, thermal reconditioning is not suitable for all types of hair and should always be performed by an experienced trained professional.
