2 Ladies Get Wonderful Dates With 'The Bachelor'

Melissa and Jillian were treated to wonderful dates on episode 2 of ABC's "The Bachelor."

Jillian got a rose after Jason Mesnick hosted a pool party. She had only a little bit of time to get ready for the date and she did wonderfully.

Jason commented that she looked great.

The two of them ended a great evening with a live concert presented by R&B singer Robin Thicke at the Walt Disney Concert Hall.

They boogied or danced closely and Jillian said she had neber been on a date that was so intimate.

Who knew that the hot dog girl could be so much fun. Remember, we learned in episode 1 that Jason puts mustard on his hot dogs and it means he's a good guy. Um, didn't need a hot dog or mustard to determine that.

Jason -- or Jay, as the bachelorettes have begun to call him -- had his second one-on-one date with Melissa.

They enjoyed time at the beach and then went on a ride in the Goodyear blimp.

Jason noted that Melissa is usually the type of girl he's attracted to because she is fun and stands out in a crowd. He also said that this type of girl typically isn't ready to settle down.

Jay was pleasantly surprised when cutie pie Melissa said she would have been working on getting her certification to teach first grade if she had not gotten selected to be a bachelorette.

He was pleased to learn about her passion for kids and after their first kiss, he said she was a "wonderful kisser."

Not too much craziness happened this week, except that Jason kept Natalie. She was the one who ran into the bathroom and cried after Jay handed out the first rose for a one-on-one date.

Racqel, who was not given a rose and tried to comfort Natalie, was sent home. She looked beautiful at the rose ceremony -- didn't she?
