Official Contest Rules For Dancing With Stars Contest

Monday, April 21, 2008 -- Monday, May 5, 2008

You must agree to the rules in order to enter the contest.

1. No Purchase Necessary: No purchase or payment of any money is necessary to enter. Purchase will not improve the chances of winning. All federal, state and/or local rules and regulations apply. Void where prohibited by law.

2. Eligibility: Legal U.S. Residents 18 years of age and older are eligible to enter. Employees of KMGH-TV, The McGraw-Hill Companies, Inc. (“The McGraw-Hill Companies”), Internet Broadcast, Inc. (“IB”), ABC, Denver Center for Performing Arts, Fred Astaire Dance Studios, and Southwest Airlines, and their parent companies, subsidiaries and agents are not eligible to participate (collectively, the "Sponsors.")

3. How To Enter: Enter this contest from Monday, April 21, 2008 through 12:00 PM Tuesday, May 6, 2008. To enter, watch 7NEWS at 10 p.m. Monday through Friday to learn the Dance of the Day. After learning the dance of the day and prior to 12:00 PM the following day, go to www.TheDenverChannel.com to select the correct dance step in the "Denver’s 7 Sends You Dancing with the Stars" contest section. Only one entry per e-mail address per day will be accepted. Sponsors are not responsible for late, misdirected or illegible entries.

4. Limitations: Regardless of whether more than one person uses the same email address, only one Entry will be accepted from one e-mail address during any given day. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of the person submitting the on-line Entry, the Entry will be deemed to be submitted by the person in whose name the e-mail account is registered. Any use of automated or programmed methods of effective Entry on-line is prohibited.

5. Prize(s): The Daily Prize will be a Dancing Gift Basket courtesy of Fred Astaire Dance Studios. Each Gift Basket includes one (1) Fred Astaire Dance Video, Gift Certificate valid for three (3) 25-minute Private dance lessons for a single or couple and two (2) 45-minute Practice parties. One Daily Prize will be awarded each weekday beginning Tuesday, April 22 through Tuesday, May 6, 2008. Approximate retail value of each Daily Prize: $100.00. The Grand Prize will include two (2) tickets to the studio audience for the live "Dancing with the Stars" finale on May 19, 2008 in Los Angeles, 3-day/2-night hotel accommodations in Los Angeles, Domestic round-trip coach air travel on Southwest Airlines from Denver to Los Angeles for two (2) adults, and ground transportation from the hotel to the finale show. The Grand Prize winner will be randomly selected from all eligible entries on Tuesday, May 6, 2008. Approximate retail value of Grand Prize: $2,000.00.

6. Prize Conditions: Winners must meet all eligibility requirements. Prizes are supplied by Denver’s 7, ABC, Fred Astaire Dance Studios and Southwest Airlines. Prizes are not redeemable for cash or transferable. No substitutions allowed, except, at Sponsor’s sole discretion, a prize of equal or greater value may be substituted. Winners are responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes and fees, plus any other incidentals. Prizes must be redeemed by adults over 18. Winners will be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release form prior to receipt of a prize. The winner will be required to waive any and all claims against The McGraw-Hill Companies, IB, ABC, Denver Center for Performing Arts, Fred Astaire Dance Studios, or Southwest Airlines and their respective affiliates, employees, agents, and representatives for any loss which may occur from participation in the contest or from the receipt or use of the prize. Non-compliance will result in disqualification and forfeit of prize.

7. How to Win: After learning the “Dance of the Day” in 7News at 10 PM, viewers must log on to www.TheDenverChannel.com and select the correct dance step in the “Denver’s 7 Sends you Dancing with the Stars” contest section by 12:00 PM the following day. One (1) Daily Winner will be awarded each weekday. In the event that more than one Entrant provides the correct answer, one winner will be selected at random from all eligible Entries. The Grand Prize winner will be randomly selected from the pool of correct entries collected April 21, 2008 through May 6, 2008.

8. Daily Winners: Daily Winners will be posted on www.TheDenverChannel.com by 5:00 p.m. each day. Winners will be confirmed by phone between April 22, 2008 and May 9, 2008.

9. Grand Prize Winner: Grand Prize winner will be posted on www.TheDenverChannel.com on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 by 5:00 PM. The Winner will also be notified and verified by telephone by May 9, 2008. Disqualification and the automatic forfeiture of the Grand Prize will result from any of the following: (1) failure of a potential Winner to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability/Publicity Release upon prize redemption; (2) in the event the notification of the prize award is undeliverable by telephone; (3) inability of potential Grand Prize Winner to travel to Los Angeles on Sunday, May 18, 2008 returning Tuesday, May 20, 2008; and (4) any other non-compliance with Rules. If the Grand Prize is forfeited by a potential Winner, another winner will be selected at random from all remaining eligible entries. All Federal state and local taxes are solely the Winner’s responsibility.

10. Odds: Odds of winning will depend upon number of eligible entries received.

11. Prize Redemption: Winners must pick up Prize in person at Denver’s 7 Studios, 123 Speer Blvd. Denver, CO during regular business hours and provide Denver’s 7 with appropriate picture identification (Valid Driver’s License, ID or passport). All entries become the sole property of The McGraw-Hill Companies, Inc. All Winners will be required to give The McGraw-Hill Companies, Inc. his/her social security number, legal name, age, current address, and phone number for tax record keeping purposes only. All prizes must be claimed and redeemed by 5:00 PM on Friday, May 9, 2008 or the prize redemption is forfeited.

12. Conditions: Each entrant, by entering this Contest agrees that: (1) he/she will abide by and be bound by the Rules and the Sponsor’s decisions, which shall be final and non-appealable; (2) the Entry becomes solely the Sponsor’s property and will not be returned; (3) the Winner agrees to release and hold harmless the Entities, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives of responsibility for any claims, injuries, losses or damages of any kind resulting from Contest participation; the awarding, acceptance, use, misuse, possession, loss or misdirection of the prize; participation in any prize related activity; or from computer downloading any Sweepstakes information; (4) Winner’s acceptance of the Daily Prize, or Grand Prize constitutes the grant of an unconditional right to use Winner’s name, address (city and state only), voice, likeness, photograph, biographical and prize information and/or statements about the promotion for any publicity, advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation, in any media, worldwide, in perpetuity, except where prohibited by law; (5) in the event the online portion of this Contest becomes technically corrupted in any way, electronically or otherwise, such that it cannot be conducted as originally planned, the Sponsor has the right to cancel, terminate or suspend the online portion of the Contest, and in such event, to select a Winner by random drawing from among all eligible Entries received up to such time of cancellation, termination or suspension; (6) any portion of the Daily Prize, or Grand Prize not accepted will be forfeited; (7) sponsor is not responsible for the inability of the Winners to accept the Daily Prize, or the Grand Prize for any reason.

13. Disputes: By entering, each Entrant accepts and agrees to be bound by these official rules and the decisions of the judges. Any dispute regarding the sweepstakes or these rules will be resolved by a panel of judges from The McGraw-Hills Companies, Inc. and their decision shall be final.
