Join Us For Cherry Creek Arts Festival

Denver's 7 is proud to sponsor the 18th Annual Cherry Creek Arts Festival.

As Colorado's signature cultural event, the Cherry Creek Arts Festival is one of the nation's most competitive outdoor juried arts festivals. The Arts Festival boasts the rare opportunity for visitors to meet and talk with exhibiting artists, sample fine cuisine, visit special exhibits and create their own works of art.

Artistic categories include ceramics, digital art, drawing, fiber, glass, graphics and printmaking, jewelry, metalwork, mixed media, painting, photography, sculpture, and wood. The Arts Festival also offers artists demonstrations, the Art Auction, Artivity Avenue for families, and an award- winning volunteer program.

Arts in Action, the Arts Festival's year-round arts and education program currently serve over 12,000 youth in the Denver metropolitan area.

When is the Arts Festival?
Friday, July 4 -- 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Festival Nights 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Saturday, July 5 -- 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Festival Nights 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Sunday, July 6 -- 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with Handicap Accessibility 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

*CCAF is fully accessible during all hours to disabled visitors and senior citizens, but this time is specifically designated for individuals with mobility concerns.

Where is the Arts Festival?

The Arts Festival is located in Denver's Cherry Creek North Shopping District, on 2nd and 3rd Avenues, on the six streets between Clayton and Steele Streets.

2008 Festival Feature on Fillmore Plaza

FLEXION (fleck-shun) is the Festival Feature for 2008. Combining stilt acrobatics with hanging, falling, and flying, Flexion is a dynamic outdoor movement spectacular – part dance, part theater, part aerial circus. Enjoy FLEXION three-times daily on Fillmore Plaza.

Culinary Demonstration Stage

The International Culinary School at The Art Institute of Colorado presents the Culinary Demonstration Stage with kitchen provided by Sub-Zero/Wolf. Join us near 2nd Avenue and Clayton Street as we celebrate Culinary Art with exciting, entertaining and informative chef demonstrations.

Jazz and Wine

Enjoy the all-new Cru Vin Dogs Wine Pavilion and Jazz Stage located near 3rd and Steele Street.

Festival Ambassador Program

Visitors at the Festival will be greeted at all twelve entrances by the newly trained and vastly improved customer services of our Festival Ambassador program. The festival has fashioned this program after Disney's customer service model with the simple goal of helping your festival experience be the best ever!

What makes a Cherry GREEN? While experiencing all the amenities of the festival, you'll enjoy knowing that your participation is complemented by newly enhanced and collaborative environmental efforts. The Cherry Creek Arts Festival is working with the City of Denver, each vendor of the event, and other local festivals to help reduce the environmental impact of our public celebrations.

5th Annual Opening Gala – Thursday, July 3, 5 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Emceed by Denver's 7 Anchor Bertha Lynn, this is an exclusive opportunity to preview and purchase art, and to enjoy exquisite cuisine and world-class entertainment. The Gala will feature 27 juried artists and be the first buying opportunity of the event.

Tickets: $150 each – includes gourmet seated dinner, a private art buying opportunity and Festival Patron VIP benefits.

Artist Preview Event

Come enjoy a "sneak peek" at 27 of the 230 Visual Artists juried to exhibit at the 2008 Cherry Creek Arts Festival. The public is invited to participate in this free event on Thursday, July 3rd, from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. The event takes place on Clayton Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues in Cherry Creek North. The Artist Preview Event will feature gorgeously lit streets and artist booths, spirited beverage opportunities, strolling entertainment and more!

"Fireworks Spectacular"

When: 9:30 p.m., Saturday Night, July 5, 2008
Where: Fireworks show can be seen above the Cherry Creek Shopping Center. Best viewing and sound is on 1st Avenue at Fillmore Plaza.

Online Art Auction: Goes live June 30, 2008

The auction features over 140 works of art generously donated by exhibiting artists available for bidding by the public. It's a great way to view the majority of the visual artists all in one place! To participate, visit the Art Auction tent on St. Paul Street or post a bid online at CherryArtsAuction.org. Proceeds benefit CCAF's year-round education programs.

    Arts Festival Emerging Artists Program

    This program is not only a unique opportunity for up-and-coming artists to exhibit their work to the public, but also a chance to establish contact between the public and new and diverse art forms that have not yet been enjoyed at this event. This year, 8 Emerging Artists will exhibit their work on 3rd Avenue between Fillmore and Milwaukee. Prior to the event, Emerging Artists received mentoring from the Arts Festival and experienced exhibitors in preparation for their first time exhibiting.

    Artivity Avenue

    Visit Milwaukee Avenue and experience Artivity Avenue, a full city-block of interactive themed activities for the entire family to enjoy.

    At Creation Station, children can engage in many interactive art projects with involvement from the Denver Botanic Gardens, Children's Museum of Denver, the Denver Hospice and the Colorado Parent Magazine.

    Anything can happen throughout the day at the Cherry Creek Shopping Center Family Stage, sponsored by The Children's Hospital, as the live entertainment – including musical performances, dance troupes, puppet shows and magic shows – provides an endless variety of entertainment and amusement for all ages.

    Culinary Art

    Enjoy a delectable array of cuisine on Culinary Row, located on St. Paul Street between Second and Third Avenues. Experience treats from some of Denver's most popular eateries. Selected by a jury, these restaurants highlight specialty menu items at reasonable prices. Guests can choose from the following award-winning eateries:

    Performance Stages

    Don't miss our seven performance stages featuring entertainment for everyone of all ages! The Janus Main Stage, Bank of the West Stage at the Heineken Beer Garden, The Children's Hospital Family Stage, the Jazz Stage, the Culinary Demonstration Stage presented by The International Culinary School at The Art Institute of Colorado, with kitchen provided by Sub-Zero/Wolf, and the Artist Demonstration Stage presented by the Gay and Lesbian Fund for Colorado.

    The Cherry Creek Arts Festival continues to provide FREE audio and video podcasts that allow sneak previews of this year's festival, a cool mixed-media guide, plus fun behind-the-scenes features.
