UPDATED: 1:02 pm MST March 10, 2010

A campus meeting will take place Wednesday morning after a series of crimes on the Auraria Campus in Downtown Denver.

The campus houses Metro State College, University of Colorado Denver Downtown Campus and the Community College of Denver

"They were telling me about people being attacked, and robberies, and telling me to watch out," said Kayla Pouncey, a student.

On the evening of March 5, a student was assaulted and robbed while leaving a car in a lot behind the Campus Village Apartments. No arrests have been made in the case.

On March 8, two students at the Inn at Auraria dorm were stabbed after a break-in. Denver police told 7News two arrests had been made in this case. On Wednesday, Denver police released the mug shots of those two men. Trey Quinn, 22, and Nicholas Castle, 21, are both in custody suspected of aggravated robbery.

Then hours later, just after three in the afternoon, a woman was grabbed and punched in an attempt to get her purse. That incident happened along the sidewalk at 7th and Lawrence Streets. No one has been arrested.

The crimes are common knowledge on the Auraria Campus.

"It frightens me a little bit. You never know,” said Tonya Hendricks, a student.

There will be a campus wide meeting on Wednesday to discuss these recent cases. It will start at 11:30 a.m. at the Tivoli Student Union.

"With it just being a very large campus it may be inevitable. Not a huge surprise though," said William Blackburn, a student.

"It is a big reality check that you really need to watch out. It doesn't matter your age, sex, nothing, that somebody can harm you," said Pouncey.
