Yearbook Body Switching Comes To A Head

Officials Promise New Yearbooks Before Graduation

Officials at a Texas high school have promised new yearbooks before the seniors graduate. About 30 pictures in the McKinney High yearbook were doctored.

School administrators said they're appalled by the changes, which include putting one girl's head on what appears to be a blurred nude body.

Officials said other changes include head and body switching, neck stretching and one girl whose arm is missing.

A spokeswoman for Minnesota-based Lifetouch National School Studios said the alterations are "an unfortunate lapse in judgment" by an employee.

The company has promised to reprint the yearbooks with the right photos in time for graduation.

The award-winning yearbook staff had 48 hours to identify and correct all of the altered images.

"It's hard for my kids. They worked so hard on this," said yearbook advisor Lori Oglesbee. "And now, when we thought the yearbook was all over and we've already started planning for next year's, guess what we're up here all weekend doing: fixing a yearbook."

Said McKinney junior Nelson Wilkerson: "We want a great yearbook, we're used to having a great yearbook, and we've got to fix this."
