Dr. Oz Moves To 4PM, 7NEWS Now At 3PM

DENVER -- Denver’s 7 welcomes Dr. Oz and “The Dr. Oz Show” to 4 p.m.Daytime television’s Emmy Award-winning host replaces Oprah as the new show to watch at 4 p.m. The switch occurred on May 26.Denver viewers can tune into “The Dr. Oz Show” Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Denver’s 7, followed by 7NEWS at 5 p.m.
7NEWS at 5 p.m. features the day’s top stories, CALL7 Investigations and Mike Nelson’s 24/7 Weather forecast. The award-winning news team includes anchors Anne Trujillo and Mike Landess, Mike Nelson with 24/7 Weather, and Lionel Bienvenu with sports.“The Dr. Oz Show is the perfect replacement for Oprah as she leaves the 4 p.m. time period. I am confident Oprah’s doctor; Dr. Mehmet Oz, is ready and able to be the most watched show at 4 p.m.," said Byron Grandy, general manager and vice president of KMGH-TV and Azteca America Colorado.“The Dr. Oz Show” will feature new episodes through Monday, June 13.Dr. Oz gained popularity as Oprah’s doctor in 2009 by teaching viewers thousands of ways to look younger and live better. His energy and passion for health garnered him his own hour-long multi-topic, multi-segment health and wellness talk show that offers topical, newsworthy information and inspiring stories in an upbeat and entertaining format featuring his unique point of view.The new lineup gives 7NEWS viewers the first look at news and weather at 3 p.m. with 7NEWS Now at 3PM. This earlier news program offers Denver audiences the day’s top stories delivered by the 7NEWS veteran news team with Anne Trujillo and Mike Landess, and Colorado’s most trusted meteorologist Mike Nelson.“We’re eager to provide a great local newscast to the community at 3 p.m. -- when news is always breaking.
