POSTED: 3:41 pm MST January 13, 2010
Broncos Pro Bowl sack leader Elvis Dumervil has more than 50 relatives living in Haiti. His mom came over from Haiti to Miami, where Elvis was born. His mom spent the day trying to reach relatives by telephone. Elvis talked with ESPN today, saying "It's a tough time right now. It's a major tragedy. I just really need help. Trying to help the poeple in Haiti, it's a very unfortunate situation. It's already been tough. "It's the poorest country there. Hopefully we can get some support, get some help to get Haiti back to where it was. At night, there's no electricity. A lot of dead bodies on the pavement, on the ground. Those bodies may be there for months. It was already struggling. It's really a time for desperate need." Dumervil said in a tweet to visit the website yele.org to help.
