NORAD Airman Faces Drug Charges
Suspect Is One Of 17 Airmen Investigated
An Air Force airman with a secret clearance at NORAD in Cheyenne Mountain is to appear in military court Wednesday to face drug charges.
A spokeswoman said that senior Airman Jason Huchel is the second
person charged out of 17 airmen suspected of drug use at NORAD and Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs.
Huchel was charged Monday with distribution of ecstasy,
LSD, marijuana, cocaine and the sedative Xanax. He also was
charged with possession with intent to distribute ecstasy, LSD
and the animal tranquilizer ketamine and with bringing drugs on a
military base with the intent to distribute.
He also faces charges filed in January accusing him of using
ecstasy, LSD and marijuana.
