Investigators Check Out Lead In Columbine Students' Murders
Man In West Virginia Resembles Suspect Seen Near Sandwich Shop
Jefferson County authorities are following up on
a lead in the unsolved slayings of two teens at a sandwich
shop last year.
A segment about the Valentine's Day slayings of Nicholas
Kunselman and Stephanie Hart Grizzell aired on "America's Most
Wanted" over the weekend.
Investigators have said very little
about the killings but are looking for a young man who was seen
near the shop on the night of the attack.
A detective with the Charleston, W.Va., Police
Department called after seeing the show and said that a man in custody
there looks very similar to the sketch of the Colorado suspect.
Jefferson County investigators said that they're taking the lead
seriously and will try to determine if the suspect was in Colorado
around the time of the killings.
Investigators said the TV program also generated more than 45
other tips in the case.
The original case attracted widespread attention because both of the victims were from nearby Columbine High School.
