  • 2 small Flank Steaks
  • 1/4 cup rice wine, or light beer
  • 1/4 Cup Packed Brown Sugar
  • 1/3 Cup Fresh Lime Juice
  • 1/2 Cup Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tbs. flavorful Sesame Oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, pressed
  • 1 Tbs. freshly grated ginger
  • 2 green onions, finely minced
  • 1 Tbs. Oyster sauce (optional)
  • crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Use a fork and stab your flank steak at least 25 times. In a medium bowl combine the remaining ingredients. Mix to dissolve sugars and pour over steak in a Ziploc bag or in a non-reactive pan, marinating as long as possible (not over 24 hours). Grill meat over medium-high heat on each side for 5 to 7 minutes. To serve, thinly slice meat across the grain on a diagonal. Serves 6 with leftovers.
