Cranberry Sauce With Oranges and Brandy

1 pkg fresh cranberries
1 cup orange juice
1 cup sugar
pinches of salt
2 oranges, peeled and segmented
1/2 – 3/4 cup Grande Marnier or another orange brandy

Combine washed cranberries, orange juice, sugar and pinches of salt, bring to a simmer and cook to a thick consistency, stirring regularly, and crushing softened berries with a spoon.
Meanwhile, peel orange removing all the pith, and remove segments without skin using a sharp knife. Cut into pieces, put in a bowl, and pour over orange brandy.
When cranberry sauce is thickened, remove from heat and stir in oranges and brandy. Set aside to cool.
