NCAA Game Summary - San Diego State At Fresno State

Fresno, CA -- (Sports Network) - Billy White scored 22 points and pulled down eight rebounds to lead the San Diego State Aztecs to a 62-58 victory over the Fresno State Bulldogs in a non-league affair at the Save Mart Center. Tyrone Shelley added 17 points and six boards for San Diego Sate (3-1), while D.J. Gay posted six points, six rebounds and six assists in the win. Greg Smith tallied a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds for Fresno State (2-2), while Mike Ladd and Paul George chipped in 14 and 12 points, respectively, in the losing effort. The Bulldogs held the Aztecs to a mere 34.5 percent shooting effort from the field in the first half, and went into the break with a 29-25 lead. San Diego State fought back in the second frame however, as the team shot 42.3 percent from the field and made 12-of-16 attempts from the foul line, en route to the four-point win. The Aztecs won the battle on the glass against Fresno State, outrebounding the Bulldogs by a 36-29 margin.
