NCAA Game Summary - Saint Louis Vs. Xavier

(Sports Network) - B.J. Raymond posted 18 points and C.J. Anderson added 15 to lead the 19th-ranked Xavier Musketeers past Saint Louis 66-47 in the quarterfinal round of the Atlantic 10 Tournament at Boardwalk Hall.

Xavier (25-6), the tournament's top seed, will take on Temple in the semifinals on Friday.

Jason Love scored 10 for the Musketeers, and Derrick Brown contributed nine points.

Kevin Lisch led Saint Louis (18-14) with 13 points and Willie Reed had 10 for the ninth-seeded Billikens.

Xavier led 15-2 through the first 5:25 of the first half. Saint Louis closed the gap to 19-12 with just over 10 minutes to go. Then a Tommie Liddell trey closed the margin to 26-23 with 5:06 left.

The half ended on Raymond's buzzer-beater to send the Musketeers into the locker room leading 35-25.

The start of the second half saw Xavier score the first seven points to go ahead 42-25. The Billikens never got closer than 14.

Game Notes:

Xavier has lost in the semifinal round the last two years...Since joining the conference Saint Louis is 3-4 in tournament play...The Musketeers outrebounded Saint Louis 34-21...Xavier hit 49 percent from the field and sank 5-of-10 from beyond the arc...The Billikens only made 3-of-9 free throws...Xavier leads the series 25-12, including a 70-44 win during the regular season.
